IMT commissions complete range of communication and navigation equipment

​IMT successfully commissioned a complete set of radio communication and navigation equipment on a 1500t tanker at Doplhin Shipyard in Varna, Bulgaria.

The navigation bridge is equipped with latest state-of-the art navigation equipment, with integrated system from Kelvin Hughes incorporating X- and S-band radars, overlayed on ECDIS, with track-control capable autopilot.  The navigation capabilities are further boosted by an echosounder and speed log from Skipper electronics, a SAAB R5AIS, a Mini-VDR system from Consilium, a dual Gyrocompass from Simrad, a Magnetic compass from Lilley&Gillie, and others.

The radio safety onboard is ensured by the A1+A2+A3 Sailor GMDSS console from the latest generation 6000.

IMT supplied also the internal communication systems from Zenitel, including an IP-technology integrated communication system.
